Scootering/biking parts of Vietnam?

Im going to be taking the train most of the way down Vietnam from hanoi to ho chi mihn but im looking to take a break from the train for a day and scooter or motorbike a part...what part can i rent a bike from (prefer scooter!!) and then drop off further down maybe about 100 km appr away?
