Shared my first drunken kiss with a guy friend aftermath...?

At a party I dunkenly made out with my good guy friend, the same guy who I had just recently gotten over after a two year crush. It was really wonderful, and I had a very epic story to tell my friends about my first kiss, definitely movie-worthy. Anyway, a couple days later I sent him a platonic facebook message, and a few days after that he asked me to help him on a summer project thing he was doing. We acted as though nothing happened, though continued to be somewhat awkward (though I believe we both are naturally awkward people). I really hope he didn't regret that night, and I wonder if I think it is so special because it was my first, with a guy i lusted over for years, because I know he has had several other experiences that could trump ours. I was just wondering if guy friends hook up with their girl friends because they are just guys who want action? or do they sense something more in the friendship? or was it purely the alcohol that caused this flood of strange emotions?
